The Sixth International Symposium on Interval Data Modelling: Theory and Applications

December 11-12, 2025, Xiamen University, China


The 6th International Symposium on Interval Data Modelling: Theory and Applications (SIDM2025) is to be held in Paula and Gregory Chow Institute for Studies in Economics, Xiamen University, Xiamen, China, on December 11-12, 2025. The conference will include invited keynote speakers and roundtable forums. Arrival and registration of participants will start in the afternoon of December 10. All speeches and sessions will occur on December 11 and 12. This symposium is jointly organized by Paula and Gregory Chow Institute for Studies in Economics, Xiamen University, Academy of Mathematics and Systems Science, Chinese Academy of Sciences, the AMSS Center for Forecasting Science, Chinese Academy of Sciences, and School of Economics and Management, University of Chinese Academy of Sciences.

Aims and Topics

This symposium aims to provide a multi-disciplinary platform for academics and researchers, particularly young faculty and graduate students, to share experience and research findings on interval-valued data modelling and various related fields in both theory and practice, to share information on current and future developments, and to initiate theoretical advancements and practical developments toward solutions to our challenges through cross-fertilization.

The topics of interest of this symposium include, but not limited to:

· Interval time series analysis and forecast

· Symbolic data analysis

· Conformal prediction interval

· Quantile regression

· Candlestick forecasting and trading

· Data mining and analysis

· Risk measurement and volatility modelling

· Interval analysis and statistical inference

· Random set and fuzzy set

· Histogram data modelling


Submissions
Authors are invited to submit their extended abstracts/papers in pdf format with the purpose of presenting unpublished research in these topics. Abstracts must be sent as a one-page summary to the website https://conf.xmu.edu.cn/sidm2025. The deadline of submission is October 24, 2025, and notification of acceptance for presentation will be made to the respective authors by October 31, 2025.
