We welcome submissions incorporating or analyzing controlled experiments using human subjects in studies of decision theory, game theory, development economics, environmental and resource economics, policy analysis, management science, marketing, political science, or finance. We encourage submissions related to all topics in the field of behavioral and experimental economics. It is our honor to have the following distinguished keynote speakers this year: Professor Syngjoo Choi (Seoul National University) Professor Nobuyuki Hanaki (Osaka University) Professor Theo Offerman (University of Amsterdam) ABSTRACT SUBMISSION AND REGISTRATION Researchers who would like to present their work at the conference are invited to submit a short abstract (not exceeding 250 words, including title and co-authors) at the 'Submission/Registration' page of the conference website above. Please note that all submissions should be in English; however, conditional on sufficient interest, we will offer sessions where presentations will be in Chinese. Please indicate so in your submission, if you prefer to present in Chinese. Each participant will be limited to presenting one paper. The submission deadline has been extended to November 11, 2024. Decisions of acceptance will be announced by November 18, 2024. There is no registration fee (though registration will be required for our head count). The registration deadline is November 25, 2024. Researchers may register at the 'Submission/Registration' page of the conference website. The International Workshop on Experimental Economics is one component of the effort by WISE to establish a leading research center in Experimental Economics and Finance. The Finance and Economics Experimental Lab (FEEL) at WISE commenced operations in the fall of 2010. This state of the art facility is part of the Ministry of Education Key Laboratory in Econometrics awarded to WISE in 2010. This is the first Ministry Key Lab established in the social sciences. Xiamen is located in southeast China and has convenient direct flights to many major cities in Asia. It is famous for its resort like atmosphere and has a reputation as the cleanest and most livable Chinese city. Interesting places near Xiamen include the UNESCO World Heritage Hakka Earth Buildings, Gulangyu (PianoIsland) and Wuyi Mountain. Established in 2005, the Wang Yanan Institute for Studies in Economics (WISE) is a recent effort of the Ministry of Education of China and Xiamen University to build a first class research institute and facilitate domestic and international research and academic exchanges.
